The core difference
Jefit is a resource: a big database of exercises, routines shared by other users, and tools to track them. GYM RPG is a reward loop: what you log earns XP and stats that go into a skill tree and a party boss fight.
Free tier and ads
Jefit's free tier is ad-supported, and removing ads is part of Elite. GYM RPG's free tier is limited by plan count and rewarded workouts per day instead of by ads on the logging screen.
Price
Jefit Elite is about $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year. GYM RPG Pro is $7.99 a month or $49.99 a year.
Exercise library and routines
Jefit lists 1,400+ exercises and a catalogue of routines shared by other users. GYM RPG has a smaller built-in library, lets you add your own exercises, and ships pre-made plans such as push pull legs, 5x5 and upper/lower.
If you train with uncommon movements or want to copy a routine another lifter published, the larger library is a real advantage. Check that the exercises you use exist in each app before you switch.
What the game layer changes
In GYM RPG every completed set earns 3 XP, up to 90 XP a day, and each set adds to one of eight muscle stats. XP levels the character, stat tiers unlock skill-tree points, and a party fights bosses together with shared HP.
Free accounts get one XP-rewarded workout per day; Pro removes that limit. The logging itself is unlimited on the free plan. Jefit has no equivalent layer, so this only matters if a game keeps you training.
What we could not verify
We did not confirm whether Jefit offers a data import from other apps, how its offline logging behaves, or the current ad load, and the Elite price comes from a third-party listing as well as the store. Check the Jefit store page for current terms before paying.
